Just an hour from Melbourne, this dhaba-style restaurant in Kyneton transports you straight to India. The food is amazing—loved the golgappe chaat, cauliflower tikka, and the Big Chef’s Thali, which offers the best flavors in one platter. Relished some good wine too. The ambiance is authentic and cozy, with an old-school charm and an eclectic color scheme you will love. The service was warm and attentive. Can’t wait to go back!

Really really tasty food! Particularly loved the balls of happiness! Really happy after eating them. Very authentic taste of all the dishes that we tried. Interesting interiors and great service. (the photo is that of the balls of happiness)

What a mind blowing place it is!!
I've never been to an Indian restaurant that takes you back in time with so many finer details that remind you of India.
Cherry on the top, Mughal e Azam running on the projector, nostalgic!
When it comes to food and presentation, you can notice amazing innovation in every item whether they are Gol gappes {Balls of Happiness they call : ) } or samosa plate or Indian Kulfi , Loved it!!!
Staff was extremely warm, prompt and smiling.
What a hidden gem, this place is.
Whole family had a great time!

What an eclectic restaurant. The atmosphere has you looking around and admiring every nook and cranny. The ambiance is also nice to soak in.
The staff were very helpful and very accommodating. The kitchen cook openly and their etiquette with communication between other staff was great to see.
The food was simply amazing, delicious with every dip and every bite. Mild in spice and was manageable, and strong if you desire. The butter chicken turned me into a cave man, just dived in with fingers due to its delicious sauce, to top off the night the desert was top tier. If you join the dumpling and the ice cream together it increases that tenfold.
Perfect for a date night, not so much kid friendly (kids are welcome and they do amazing deals for kids, but I couldn't see young kids happy sitting in one spot, basically no play area for them) but perfect to wine and dine. The added advantage of share foods also sparks conversation between one another and in some cases makes you put down the phone and be human, that's and experience money can't buy.
Enjoy your stay, and enjoy your meals, I thoroughly enjoyed it and I think you will too...

We've been coming here for years now and it's always been a positive experience. The food is delicious you simply MUST try the Balls of Happiness.... such a flavour explosion! Great atmosphere too, with Bollywood movies on loop and Indian music in the background. I've never been disappointed. Love it!
